An educational trust

Challenge:

A progressive and expanding trust wanted to standardise its approach to managing critical incidents.

They approached AI Schools to integrate their previous disparate plans into a single standardised format and to provide training to all Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs) on how to use the new format.

Solution:

​

A review of all existing critical incident plans was undertaken and a new trust-wide format was developed. This was reviewed and approved by the Trust Board. 

Individual briefing and training sessions were delivered to all the individual schools in the Trust, allowing them to tailor the Trust template to meet their own local needs.

Finally, every SLT participated in a tabletop exercise, to get individuals familiar with their role and to practice coming together from the outset, to execute their critical incident plan.

 

Result:

The Trust had a consistent approach across all their schools and each Head has implemented annual training sessions for their SLTs.
